Musical Projects

All the compositions & arrangements I made so far.

Arrangements

The Water is Wide

The Water is Wide is a well-known folk song with Scottish origin. The song has been arranged by several artists, particularly for vocal solo. I rearranged this folk song for an orchestra.

Oyfn Pripetshik is a Yiddish song about a rabbi teaching Hebrew alphabets to students. The song was featured on the movie Schindler's List, where the girl with red coat hides during the liquidation of ghettos. Moved by this powerful scene, I decided to compose not only the arrangement for this song but also my original composition, Grown Children.

Mamma Mia!

As a musical director for our school's theater group, Franklin W. Olin Players (FWOP), in fall 2019, I was responsible for holding vocal lessons for the actors along with re-arranging pieces.

May I?

May I? portrays a desperate individual who is desperately pleading for something that they want the most.

Compositions

This piece explores an story of a man undergoing three phases: sleeping, dreaming, and waking up.

Mamma Mia!

This is a music created by a ball rolling in a hemisphere bowl with no friction. The linear and angular position of the ball determines the frequency of the sound generated.

Deep River

Deep River is a spiritual arranged by Moses Hogan. The spiritual depicts a suffering individual who is wishing for time or a place with hope and joy.

Recordings

Donde Vas, Alfonso XII is a Spanish folk song about King Alfonso XII from Spain. The song is about the king looking for his lost love Queen Mercedes, realizing and coping with her death.

Mamma Mia!

Light in the Dark is a musical theater piece from the musical Next to Normal. It is about a man convincing his wife to take the mental therapy and return back to normal life.
